Bare-root season is officially ON Edited: make a mistake yesterday so reposting. If you’ve never tried growing roses this way, you’re missing out. Bare-root plants are lightweight, easy to handle, and settle into the soil like they’ve lived there for years. A few extra tips I didn’t squeeze into the reel: Give the roots space — tight planting means poor flowering later. If your soil’s heavy clay, mix in grit to help those roots breathe.
