Drying hydrangeas is so easy, and this is my favorite way to do it! The water isn’t so much to keep them alive, it just slows down the drying process just a smidge, bc they aren’t soaking up much water at this point anyway! Here’s how to get it just right: 1️⃣ Wait for the antique stage 👉 Look for vintage tones—green, mauve, dusty pink/blue—and petals that feel papery, not fresh. 2️⃣ Do the feel test ✅ Gently touch the petals—they should feel dry and slightly crisp. 3️⃣ Cut long stems strip the leaves ✂️ Leaves rot fast—get rid of them. 4️⃣ Place in a vase 🕳️ No water OR 1 inch of water and let it evaporate naturally. 5️⃣ Finish with hairs
