White velvet cake is basically red velvet without the red. It’s a buttermilk cake base that results in a VERY soft, fluffy and moist cake. If you leave out all the color and the cocoa powder you have yourself a nice white velvet cake. Neat huh?! The buttermilk gives this southern inspired cake it’s rich and velvety texture. https://sugargeekshow.com/recipe/white-velvet-cake/ | Sugar Geek Show

This Buttermilk Pound Cake was a family favorite growing up. Since we always had buttermilk in the fridge for biscuits, it was a no-brainer to add it to our pound cakes. Because buttermilk is acidic, it tenderizes the gluten to make for the most moist and tender pound cake you’ll ever eat. Trust us when we say it’ll be gone in no time! 😋 | White Lily Baking
