The NFL made a major and much-derided change to RedZone Channel when it added commercials to what had long been celebrated as "Seven hours of commercial-free football."

For many NFL fans, Scott Hanson is the only voice they really want to listen to on Sundays. He's hosted the NFL RedZone channel for years and become a fan favorite by nearly everyone who pays for it.

Scott Hanson will return as the host of the NFL RedZone channel for the 2026 NFL season. On X/Twitter, Hanson responded to a fan who was concerned about his status for next season after getting emotional during the season finale on Sunday.

The NFL regular season concludes on Sunday, Jan. 4, and 13 of the 14 games will part of the final NFL RedZone of the season.
