A Future Mid-Engine Viper with Hellcat Power: Yay or Nay?
The V10 definitely offers more wow factor and it has been a staple component of the Viper since Day 1, but are those reasons enough to reject a Viper with a Hellcat Redeye engine and nearly 800 stock horsepower? Tell us what you think in the comments below.

V10 swap... | Allpar Forums
The V10 and Cummins were only available in the Ram 2500/3500 because their heavy-duty chassis dynamics were better suited to the higher torque output of these engines. A 21-year old Ram 1500 chassis must be in fairly healthy condition to safely handle the V10 torque that it wasn't particularly designed for: (emphasis on 'safely').

47RH fitment - Allpar Forums
The 8.0L V10 was from the same engine family as the 3.9L, 5.2L & 5.9L. AFAIK all the bell-housings are the same. I am unsure about the flexplate & Magnum fitments. It seems like overkill & I have no idea where you would find one. It would be harder to find than a 44RH/46RH. Is what you have now rebuildable?

Lightweight, 745-hp Dodge Viper - Allpar Forums

Map sensor on 95 dodge ram 2500 with v/10 - Allpar Forums
The 1995 V10 was OBD1. Is the 'ck eng' light on? Any fault codes? Being a heavy-duty truck engine, not much was offered in the way of scan tool diagnostics. If you follow the diagnostic procedures, it takes the guesswork out of what's wrong. Guessing can get frustrating & expensive. Low intake manifold vacuum measured by the MAP will enrich the mixture, but you want to find out why the truck ...

The V10 is an esoteric engine and not many aftermarket parts were available then or exist today. Keep looking for Mopar 56041041 (CKP) and Mopar 53006563 (CMP).
